The Coolest Marvel Toys Revealed At Toy Fair This Year

The Coolest Marvel Toys Revealed At Toy Fair This Year

Toy Fair is upon us once more, which means it’s time to be hit with a deluge of cool new toys that will be tempting our wallets in the near future. Here’s what’s coming from Hasbro when it comes to Marvel, from Ant-Man & The Wasp to a Marvel movie anniversary celebration, to, yes… lots more Deadpool. So much Deadpool.

Ant-Man & The Wasp

Although merchandise based on Marvel’s next movie, the humongous Avengers: Infinity War, has been suspiciously absent from Toy Fair this year, Hasbro did have a few figures based on the one after that: Ant-Man & The Wasp. There’ll be masks for kids, jumbo-sized 12-inch figures of the titular heroes, and even a special Toys R’ Us two pack based on the Astonishing Ant-Man comics, but the highlight is two new 6-inch scaled Marvel Legends figures of Scott and Hope, based on their appearances in the new movie.

Although the publicity pictures only include helmeted shots, the figures will both come with unmasked alternatives depicting Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lily’s likenesses. The Paul Rudd one is… a lot.

Even More Black Panther

The Coolest Marvel Toys Revealed At Toy Fair This Year

Black Panther may already be rocking toy shelves and the box office, but that doesn’t mean new toys aren’t on the way! We’ve already seen the sweet new adult-sized Black Panther mask Hasbro will produce for its replica line, but also on the way are new Marvel Legends figures of Erik Killmonger (unmasked this time, featuring Michael B. Jordan’s likeness) and Everett Ross.

Marvel Studios: The First 10 Years

This year the Marvel movieverse turns 10, and even the toys are celebrating. Hasbro is releasing a new line of nostalgic looks back at the last decade of Marvel films, including a variety of single figures and multipacks based on everything from the first Iron Man all the way up to Avengers: Infinity War.

Some mean opportunities to get impossible-to-find figures from Hasbro’s past output (like the Hulkbuster for Age of Ultron, previously only a “build a figure” option that required collecting multiple figures), or entirely new figures never released before, like Pepper Potts circa Iron Man 3 or Ronan from Guardians of the Galaxy.

Spider-Man Marvel Legends

The next line of Spidey-themed 6″ figures is blending Spider-Man mainstays like Kaine, the classic Doc Ock, and a version of Spider-Man based on his House of M event suit with a whole bunch of street level Marvel heroes. Both Cloak and Dagger are getting new figures, as are the All-New, All-Different Daredevil suit and Elektra. Collecting all the figures in the wave will give Spider-Verse fans a chance to get the mysterious mecha “SP//dr” suit seen in the 2014 series.

Replica Infinity Gauntlet

Infinity War may have been cryptically missing from Hasbro’s showings this year, but the gauntlet at the heart of it all wasn’t. The latest entry in the Marvel Legends prop replica line, this gigantic gauntlet includes light up infinity stones and even articulated digits, so you can place your hand inside and manipulate the fingers and thumb like you’re the Mad Titan himself!

Venom Marvel Legends

Sony’s Venom movie is on the way later this year, and while these figures aren’t based on the movie designs, Hasbro has plans to launch a line of Venom-themed Marvel Legends figures to celebrate. Venom, Poison, Scream, and Carnage will all get new figures… as will Peter Porker, the Spectacular Spider-Ham? What a delightfully weird addition to this wave!

Deadpool

You can’t have new Marvel toys without new Deadpool toys, it seems. The merc’ with a mouth is getting a new 12″ figure in the plus-sized “Legends” lineup based on his costume from Uncanny X-Force, but he’s also getting a whole new range of figures in the 6-Inch line too, including variants of Deadpool wearing both his self-made X-Men suit from when he joined the team and one where he’s literally just wearing his boxers.

Joining him will be new figures for Lady Deadpool, Omega Red, and Bishop, and collecting all of them will give you the parts to make a figure of the Pteranodon/Human hybrid Sauron… not to be confused with the big fiery eye fella from The Lord of the Rings. If that wasn’t enough Deadpool for you, Hasbro is also releasing new Nerf blasters branded with Deadpool’s name and emblem.

Even More Marvel Legends

Rounding out the 6″ figure line were a few more individual figures, including a new Thing and Silver Surfer, and new teases for a wave of X-Men toys including Magneto and Sabretooth. Finally to once more capitalise on Infinity War hype without actually using anything from the movie, a standalone comics version of Thanos is also on the way, complete with both an alternate, Infinity Gauntlet-clad hand, and a smiling face for good measure.
