Wayward Pines

Variety reports that after what feels like aeons of silence, Fox has officially cancelled Wayward Pines after two seasons.

The Punisher

Floriana Lima, Josh Stewart and Giorgia Whigham have joined the cast of season two. According to Deadline, Lima will play Krista Dumont, a psychotherapist treating military veterans with PTSD, while Stewart has been cast as John Pilgrim, a seemingly calm man with a violent past who decides to bring his skill set into the present. Whigham will play Amy Bendix, “a street-smart grifter with a mysterious past”.

The Purge: The Series

Meanwhile, Syfy’s upcoming series based on The Purge franchise has cast its two main leads. Gabriel Chavarria will play Miguel, “a US Marine with a hard edge”, while Jessica Garzia is set to play his sister, Penelope, the woman he’s determined to protect during Purge Night. Adding conflict to Miguel’s mission, Penelope happens to be a member of a Purge-worshipping cult who’s agreed to be ritualistically sacrificed by the sect’s charismatic leader. You know, the usual sibling drama. [Deadline]

iZombie

Liz gets fancy after consuming the brains of a wealthy dowager in the promo for next week’s episode, “Blue Bloody”.

Meanwhile, Rose McIver revealed to KSiteTV that Liv will be getting a new boyfriend later in the season.

She gets a new boyfriend, at some point, during the season. His name is Levon. I was very excited that their [ship] name would be Livon, which was clearly no accident knowing our writers. He’s completely different to her boyfriends we’ve met in the past. I fear for his safety, as I do for all Liv’s love interests. It’s different, it’s new and he’s a documentary filmmaker. It’s a version of a person Liv connects with that we haven’t seen before, which is cool.

Star Wars Rebels
