New star, new showrunner, new composer and now a new logo – the next season of Doctor Who isn’t due until October, but it’s definitely shaking things up already.

BBC Worldwide hired agency Little Hawk to design the logo, which was done in collaboration with showrunner Chris Chibnill and executive producer Matt Strevens. Along with unveiling the new look – rather striking alongside that image of a silhouetted Thirteenth Doctor (Jodie Whittaker) standing near the TARDIS – the BBC also dropped this brief animated video.
The show’s new composer has yet to be named, so it seems unlikely that the sound design shared here (created by Matthew Herbert) reveals anything about an updated theme for the show, but who knows! At the very least, the video could offer a potential hint at what the new title sequence might look like. No doubt we’ll be learning much more about all of these things as premiere date gets closer. Doctor Who season 11 will debut this spring on ABC.
