Han Solo
Speaking with EW, Kathleen Kennedy revealed George Lucas played a tiny little role from behind the scenes during a set visit:
He had intended to just kind of stop by and say hi, and he stayed five hours. There’s even one little moment in a scene that – I can’t tell you what, sorry – but in the scene on the Millennium Falcon where George said, ‘Why doesn’t Han just do this. It actually is a funny little bit that will probably get a laugh. And Ron happened to be by the monitor and not inside the Falcon and he goes, ‘Oh that’s a great idea,’ and ran in and said, ‘George wants us to do this.’ So that was pretty cool. I think George felt pretty great about that. He could revisit these characters, and I think he felt so comfortable, obviously with Ron being there, that it was just fun for him.

Untitled Alex Garland TV Series
In conversation with Fandango, Alex Garland revealed he’s developing an eight-episode “technology based sci-fi” miniseries for FX.
The next project, provided it happens – hopefully we’re gonna shoot it later this year – [and it’s] an eight-part television series for FX. It’s a sort of science fiction, but it’s a much more technology based sci-fi whereas Annihilation is a more hallucinogenic form of sci-fi and more fantastical form of sci-fi.
This is slightly more in common with projects I’ve worked on like Ex Machina or Never Let Me Go, which are taking something about our world now – not our world in the future, but our world as it is right now – and then drawing sort of inferences and conclusions from it.
Stranger Things
TV Line reports the show’s third season will be eight episodes long – same as season one, but down from season two’s nine.
The X-Files
Speaking with PopCulture.com, David Duchovny stated that “it’s a little cart before the horse” for fans to be mourning Gillian Anderson’s departure from the series.
It’s a little cart before the horse, for me. It’s like, OK, there are issues to deal with or whatever, but let’s talk about the show. Let’s not talk about hypotheticals.
To me, it’s unfortunate that’s kind of like ‘the headline’ because, to me, the headline is: We just made 10 really kick-ass episodes of television, and please enjoy and don’t mourn the death of this show quite yet.
Legends of Tomorrow
The CW has released one last promo for this week’s midseason premiere.
