You Can Make Luke Skywalker’s Favourite Disgusting Drink From The Last Jedi At Home

There is a moment in Star Wars: The Last Jedi that is so unsettling, so unnerving, and so stomach-turning that it’s a wonder people didn’t leave theatres en masse and demand a refund. You know what scene I’m talking about. Luke. The thala-siren. The bottle. The milk.

I’m referring, of course, to the scene in which a grizzled Luke Skywalker tries to drive Rey away from Ahch-To by leading her on an odd hike across the island. It culminates in his finding a thala-siren on some rocks, hunkering down between its flippers, and milking the poor creature. Milking an animal isn’t all that odd in and of itself, but everything about the scene, from the thala-siren’s decidedly human-looking teats to the creepy way Luke stares at Rey while he guzzles the foamy green milk, is downright creepy – which is what Luke was going for.

As great as it was to see what sort of teacher Luke would be, there was one part of his getting to know Rey that was truly disturbing, and in the worst possible way.”]

If, for some sick reason, you ever wanted to reenact the moment in which Rey should have called Luke out for being a gross old man, then today’s your lucky day. Someone over at Disney has developed a recipe for “Thala-Siren Milkshakes”, which are exactly what they sound like. The recipe is surprisingly involved, as it actually requires that you make your own green, almond-flavoured ice cream from scratch before popping it into the blender with a splash.

All in all, the recipe’s really more-time consuming than difficult, meaning that if you really, really wanna be like your fave – a known creeper who guzzles milk in front of strangers – then that’s a thing that you can do, with or without the Force’s blessing.
