This YouTube Athlete Finds Out What It’d Be Like To Parkour As Captain America

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain America is a pretty acrobatic fellow, jumping, flipping, and flinging himself around in an incredible fashion. And somehow, he manages to do it all while holding a shield. Wouldn’t that be a problem?

That’s what the creator behind Friggin Boom Toys on YouTube investigates, taking a homemade shield replica and going to an obstacle course to try some parkour tactics of his own. Of course, he doesn’t have superpowers, but his shield also isn’t made of vibranium, either, so it probably balances out on that front.

The verdict? Well, it certainly doesn’t make things any easier. Not having an arm to balance yourself with on one side isn’t exactly conducive to the most coordinated acrobatics. And don’t even get this guy started on trying to catch that shield. It ain’t as easy as Steve makes it look.

You can watch the video below, and we’ll get our next look at Captain America on the big screen when Avengers: Infinity War comes out May 4, 2018.
