Thor: Ragnarok‘s talented director Taika Waititi has become well-known for his fashion sense, but his Korg “costume” on set of the Marvel movie is even more interesting to look at.

There was a lot to love about Ragnarok and while tiny warrior Miek was my favourite alien in the film, Korg comes in at a close second thanks to Waititi’s performance.
The director, who often has roles in his own films, picked up work on the Kronan warrior Korg which included motion-capture acting. Ragnarok set photographer Jasin Boland posted a behind-the-scenes look at Waititi’s mo-cap suit the other day and it’s pretty great:
Ever wonder how #korg was born? @taikawaititi @markruffalo @chrishemsworth #cateblanchett #chrishemsworth @twhiddleston @karlurban @tessamaethompson @jeffgoldblum @idriselba @marvelstudios @anthonyhopkins @thorragnarokofficial @marvel #mcu @nikonaustralia @nikonusa @nikonam… pic.twitter.com/jmxY5032pU

I know I’d never make it as an actor because I would not have been able to keep a straight face looking at Waititi wearing a cardboard cut-out of Korg’s head as a hat. Of course Waititi, ever the social butterfly, replied.
Perfect body meets perfect face meets what the fuck are you wearing. Try directing when you look like this. https://t.co/CEMrG0ygZj

He added, “Btw this @DonCheadle’s mocap suit. #warmachine #korgmachine.”
