Deadpool 2 won’t be in theatres for another eight months, but the marketing has already started – and it’s all about Thanksgiving. And if you’re confused about the link between Deadpool and Thanksgiving, join the club.
First up, Fox released this poster, which features most of the returning and significant new players enjoying a nice family dinner.
Of course, that’s Josh Brolin and Ryan Reynolds at the top as Cable and Deadpool. Sitting around the table are Zazie Beetz as Domino, T.J. Miller as Weasel, Stefan Kapicic as Colossus, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, and Karan Soni as Dopinder.
But that’s not all. Ryan Reynolds then tweeted this image.

You’re probably thinking, “That’s a cute Photoshop,” right? But no, it’s legitimately the cover of Good Housekeeping. A small, very special issue, mind you, but it’s totally affiliated with the magazine.
“Deadpool’s persistence to be in Good Housekeeping was impressive – initially we had no idea who he was, let alone that he was a fan of the magazine,” editor-in-chief Jane Francisco said in a statement. “But after repeated attempts to ignore his… passion… we came to a compromise. He could appear in one issue, if he promised to stop leaving care packages at our editors’ homes and agreed to maintain a 15m distance from the Good Housekeeping offices and our staff.”
What’s inside? Well, recipes. A letter to the editor. Tons of stuff. Head to this Collider link to see them and, yes, the recipes are real.
The implication here is we’re thankful for Deadpool, right? Which, yeah, I can get down with that. Either way, it’s a freaking weird arse idea and that’s right on theme.
Deadpool 2 will be released June 1.
