This Month In Dashcams: It's Not About How You Stand By Your Car

I had a close call recently because another car went to change into my lane and, well, didn't so much fail to check their blindspot as couldn't. There was a t-shirt hanging in the rear passenger window. Had the worst happened it'd be my word against theirs. Objective footage is striking me as a good idea more and more.

A proper phone cradle would do the trick, can anyone suggest an Android app that'll record video in the background?

My 2 cents is that you would be better off just getting the dedicated dashcam.
It will always be there, you don't have to worry about plugging in and making sure the app is running. Because you can guarantee that the one time you are low on battery on your phone so decide not to plug it in to record is the time that somebody merges into you and blames you.

When I got my new car on a novated lease last year, I took the company up on the offer to install front and rear dashcams, and they've already helped me with two not-at-fault insurance claims.

too many drugs especially ICE , too much phone use, too much road rage, sums up 90% of all accidents.

This brought a smile to my face, it had more of a lighthearted feel than usual (along with the assorted tools).

That conversation at the traffic lights around the 8 minute mark - gold!
