The First Trailer For Syfy’s Happy! Looks Like Who Framed Roger Rabbit On Speed

Video: Syfy’s new show Happy! seems pretty typical. It’s just your usual tale of a disgraced cop turned assassin who sees an imaginary flying horse then has to save a missing girl. You know, one of those shows.

Oh. Right. There’s been nothing like that, ever, except for in Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson’s comic Happy!, which was first published in 2012. Now, Syfy has taken that comic and made it into a TV show with Christopher Meloni as the cop and Patton Oswalt as the voice of the animated horse, Happy. Here’s the first trailer.

Happy! is produced by Morrison as well as Brian Taylor (Crank) and Neal Moritz (Fast and Furious). They’re an eclectic bunch and the show seems to have that feeling about it. The trailer is absolutely bananas, and we can’t wait to see more of it.

That more will come December 6 when Happy! debuts on Syfy in the US.
