Yes, you. And you, and, well, everyone. It’s called My Golden Ticket, a brand new book published by Wonderbly in association with the Dahl literary estate. The book is based on the idea that each reader is a Golden Ticket winner and this is their remembrance of their journey through Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. The hook, though, is that no two books are alike.
Using Wonderbly’s technology, every single book is tweaked and customised based on the person whom it’s ordered for. (The company has an algorithm that creates a personalised book based on the letters in, and length of, a person’s name). So each person will visit different rooms on their tour, eat different candies, meet different people and more.
The books are much more than just different text, though. Because they’re framed as scrapbooks of a trip, there are all sorts of Wonka-branded bits “taped” in them that show off the design work that went into making the factory seem real and coherent. Take a look at some possible pages:
