If you’re hanging out to upgrade to an iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus, today’s the first day you can commit: from 5:01PM you’ll be able to join Apple’s virtual queue, and also pre-order through Australia’s major telcos.
Here’s the link you’ll need to hit up if you’re ordering directly from Apple. You should be able to place your order from 5:01PM AEST sharp, but if you want to guarantee a phone on launch day you’ll have to be quick; iPhone stock is always limited in the first few days and weeks after launch.
Each telco will have its own separate pre-order channels, too: Telstra here, Optus here, Vodafone here, Virgin Mobile here. We’ll also drop links to each carrier’s on-plan pricing as it’s released below.
If you want an iPhone X, you’ll have to wait a little while longer — pre-orders for that phone open up on October 27, and it goes on sale a week later on November 3. [Apple]
