Reshoots Made One Justice League Hero Go Through Some Changes

Justice League

Joe Morton, who plays Cyborg’s father, Dr Silas Stone, told IGN the recent Justice League reshoots have “lightened up” Cyborg’s character significantly.

I know that with Ray [Fisher], the young man who plays Victor, there were some adjustments that they made in terms of the tone of that character. I think what I heard was that there was a need from the studio to lighten up the film in a way, that the film felt too dark. I don’t know what that meant in terms of how it actually got translated in terms of the reshoots but that’s what I heard. That’s what I thought some of the reshoots were about.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Taking a question on Twitter, Rian Johnson isn’t certain the new Star Wars is for kids under seven.

Aquaman

Director James Wan is certain Jason Momoa’s beefiness will eliminate any stigma the character has faced from years of unflattering Cartoon Network bumpers.

Momoa is not a guy that you would go up to and make fun of. I really think you immediately remove any of the stigma of the character from the cartoons that we are familiar with. Having said that, I’m not completely unaware of the stigma,” Wan added. “If anything, I embrace it and being able to laugh at yourself and have fun at yourself is important and that’s something I am aware of as I make ‘Aquaman’ right now.’

An American Werewolf in London

Variety reports Max Landis still plans to write and direct a remake of his dad’s 1980 classic, despite stating earlier it would be “the ultimate abdication of every accusation of nepotism I’ve ever faced”.

Hellboy

Mike Mignola has confirmed the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Development will appear in the reboot.

The B.P.R.D. figures into the movie. I don’t want to say who is and who isn’t in the movie. I think it’s fair to say, however, that the primary focus is Hellboy and not a B.P.R.D. team movie.

Avengers 4

Filming has begun on Avengers 4. Invest in purple gloves.

Terminator 6

Meanwhile, James Cameron spoke with The Arnold Fans about how future films could explore the reason T-800’s look and sound exactly like Arnold Schwarzenegger. Good idea?

Yeah, you got to ask yourself, ‘Why did they make these characters look and sound like Arnold? There has to be a reason. So yeah, it has flashed through my mind that there has to have been a prototype. There has to have been a guy who’s DNA was harvested from — that they grew the organic outer layer that they grew the Terminator from…and that presumably was a real person at some point. Now, the question is, did that person have some sort of meaning to Skynet on WHY they chose that one? Or was it like a whole rack of Terminators and the one that happened to be the Arnold model just happened to be closest to the door going out to the time displacement center and all the others looked different? I’ve asked myself these questions but it’s never been resolved…so stay tuned! We’re talking pretty seriously now about doing some new Terminator films or possibly a trilogy and you’ll just have to see what surfaces in those.

Blade Runner 2049

The new Blade Runner has been rated R — presumably not for “robot” — by the MPAA. [/Film]

Thor: Ragnarok

An interational poster via Coming Soon puts the cast in classic V formation. Very ’90s.

Han Solo

Another day, another tease of the movie courtesy of Ron Howard’s twitter — this time, it’s a burning scrapyard set.

The Walking Dead

Avi Nash has joined the cast of the next season, in a currently undisclosed role. [Comic Book]

Arrow

TV Line reports the series is looking to cast an “Aussie lad to fill the guest-starring role of an introverted, moody and naturally athletic teenager” with ties to Slade. Sounds very Jericho.

Hannibal

Bryan Fuller says negotiations for a fourth season of Hannibal have begun:

Channel Zero: No-End House

Syfy has released another creepy teaser on for the second season of Channel Zero.

DuckTales

Finally, here’s a new promo for the show — bizarrely, in the form of a PSA played ahead of movies to tell people to turn off their phones.
