Ben Affleck talks about Joss Whedon’s influence on Justice League. Karen Gillan promises more Nebula backstory for Avengers: Infinity War. Get a look at some funky armour in new Aquaman set pictures. Justice League
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Ben Affleck referred to the half-Zack Snyder, half-Joss Whedon Justice League as the “interesting product of two directors”.
It’s a little bit unorthodox. Zack had a family tragedy, and stepped off, which was horrible. For the movie, the best person we could’ve possibly found was Joss. We got really lucky that he stepped in. [Justice League is] an interesting product of two directors, both with kind of unique visions, both with really strong takes. I’ve never had that experience before making a movie. I have to say, I really love working with Zack, and I really love the stuff we’ve done with Joss.
Meanwhile, a new poster has been spotted in Japan showcasing the alter egos of the team.

Avengers: Infinity War
During a recent appearance at Florida SuperCon, Karen Gillan stated Infinity War will delve further into Nebula’s dark, secret origins growing up as the daughter of Thanos.
Without giving away any spoilers. We’re definitely going to continue the arc for Nebula and find out more about her past. And actually, we’re going to find out that it’s even worse than we know.
Star Trek: Discovery
In the latest issue of SFX Magazine James Frain — who plays Sarek in the new series — revealed Michael Burnham’s parents were murdered by Klingons during her time at the academy, necessitating Spock’s family to take the young human in and “raise her as a Vulcan”:
…we see Sarek as a younger man, and we discover that he has been made responsible for Michael’s upbringing — her parents were killed while being hosted at the Vulcan Academy when there was a Klingon attack. So we feel responsible for her, take her in, and I raise her in my family as a Vulcan.

The Last Man On Earth
Chris Elliot will guest-star in “multiple episodes” of the show’s fourth season as Glenn, a castaway on a desert island the survivors encounter while sailing away from a failing nuclear power plant. Kristin Wiig will also return as crazy bunker-lady Pamela for “at least three episodes”, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Arrow
In an interview with Green Arrow TV, Marc Guggenheim stated John Barrowman has an “open invitation to return to the show any time he wants”, thanks to the Arrowverse’s now frankly ridiculous number of methods capable of returning dead characters:
That’s up to John. We told John when we called him to tell him about the events of the finale, every single person on all the shows has come back in some shape or form. We’ve got flashbacks, we’ve got time travel, we’ve got parallel universes. Goodbye is never goodbye. He has an open invitation to return to the show any time he wants.
Guggenheim’s comments came as news to actor John Barrowman, who immediately released a follow-up statement on Instagram.
I am surprised and very happy to hear Marc Guggenheim’s comments about Merlyn’s future in the Arrowverse, because in a very decisive phone conversation we had with Wendy Mericle, I was led to believe that there were no plans to bring Merlyn back. If they have changed their mind, awesome! I have LOVED playing Malcom Merlyn and was SO disappointed to be told the news of his death and to no longer be part of a fantastic team and show. If they want me back, they just have to ask! The ball is back in their court. Write Merlyn an amazing storyline and I will be there.
