Big Hero 6 TV Show Is Coming This November

Baymax and Hiro are coming to just cute up the gosh-darn heck out of Disney XD’s lineup this spring, and now we’ve got a month: November. There’s also a lovely, albeit all-too brief, new teaser.

When Big Hero 6 came out in 2014, it was one of the best surprises of the past few years. It was effortlessly diverse, warm, and vibrant in a way that no comic book adaptation before or sense has ever achieved quite so well. In a contemporary media landscape of darker, more mature takes on superheroes, Big Hero 6 was a great reminder of what superheroes (and big, squishy robots) can do within the constraints of media aimed squarely at kids.

The TV show, based on everything we’ve seen, looks to be more of the same, which makes every bit of new footage we get very exciting. Courtesy of Disney XD’s YouTube channel,we have a new, 15-second teaser. It’s brief, but it’s enough to give a nice glimpse of Hiro, Baymax, and the culture-mashed San Fransokyo skyline.

The teaser also comes with a more concrete release window for the series, which has already been renewed for a second season by Disney. Unfortunately, this isn’t the full air date, but it’s just enough to stoke our excitement. But at least now there’s a window for it. We can plan the movie rewatch accordingly. Get ready for Big Hero 6 this November.
