Video: Lounging around at home, a bored teenage girl snaps a selfie and posts it to social media with the hashtag “#homealone”. Sotiris Petridis and Dimitris Tsakaleas’s short — #NotAlone — has definite connective tissue to earlier horror films, like When a Stranger Calls or Scream, that prey on the fear of not being safe even when you’re alone in your own house. If the “heart” joke at the end is a little too obvious, the film still might make you consider your hashtags very, very carefully.
