Ant-Man & The Wasp

That Hashtag Show reports Marvel is looking to hire an “African American male between the ages of 55 to 65” to play Dr Bill Foster, a one-time heir to the Giant Man mantle and better known as Goliath… before he was needlessly killed off in the first Civil War comic.

Wolverine

Hugh Jackman is convinced there’ll be plenty more live-action Wolverine in the future without him.

Definitely someone else will play the role [of Wolverine], it’s a great role. You know, it’s like a Bond or it’s like a Batman, those kinds of roles. Other people will play him for sure.

He’ll come back, just not with me. Well, except on Saturday nights at my house. I dress up. When my kids are not doing their homework, I dress up and the claws come out. I just have to do that [raise an eyebrow] with the claws and it works!

Han Solo

Speaking with THR, Woody Harrelson stated “the Force is still very much with” Ron Howard’s new take on film.

[Producer] Alli [Sheamur] gave me the word on [Ron Howard replacing the directors]. He’s a wonderful guy. And we did shoot one day with him — we had to shoot because Thandie had to leave. We start again July 12. I think I read some stuff where people were worried about the fate of this movie. I wouldn’t worry. The Force is still very much with it.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Colin Trevorrow tweeted this photo of director J.A. Bayona investigating a set of familiar-looking jaws — a set possibly belonging to the last film’s hybrid dinosaur, Indominus Rex. However, Screen Rant notes that Amblin recently trademarked the name “Indoraptor” — presumably a velociraptor variant — so maybe that’s what we’re seeing here.

Black Panther

In an interview with EW, Chadwick Boseman reveals that Andy Serkis’s Klaue/Klaw is the film’s “real” villain.

Klaue is the real villain. I can say that I identify with Killmonger’s character. It’s going to be a fun character. He definitely has a different point of view. They are polar opposites. A superhero movie is only as great as its villains. I think they both provide a piece of that.

War for the Planet of the Apes

Bad Ape, Maurice and Nova get up to some hijinks in the latest clip.

Jessica Jones

Variety reports that Leah Gibson has joined the cast as the “street-wise” nurse, Ingrid, a character the trade notes as potentially being a codename for the Daredevil villain, Typhoid Mary — a former love interest of Matt Murdock with dissociative identity disorder, capable of using vast psionic powers in her multiple, violent personalities.

Ghosted

Amber Stevens West has joined the cast of Fox’s comedic supernatural show as Annie, “a smart, fun and down-to-earth tech specialist/weapons expert at the Bureau Underground”.

Deadline describes the character as “an idealist who believes in the Bureau’s mission but as passionate as she is about designing high grade weaponry to battle paranormal enemies, she’s equally excited about hanging with her dog, drinking cheap rosé and watching the latest hit TV series”.

Westworld

Zahn McClaron has apparently been cast, according to a hastily deleted tweet from actor Louis Herthum. [Westworld Watchers]

The Flash

Entertainment Weekly reports that Britne Oldford will return in the season four premiere as the teleporting metahuman, Peek-A-Boo.

Meanwhile, some new set photos show Wally West getting a costume upgrade… specifically, by donning Barry’s outfit.

We also have video of a Samuroid kidnapping Iris!

Doctor Who

Rachel Talalay, who’s directing this year’s Christmas special — and, therefore, presumably, Peter Capaldi’s regeneration sequence — claims to have no idea who the next actor to play The Doctor is.

Inhumans

During a recent set visit, Screen Rant asked Serinda Swan exactly how Medusa’s hair will be rendered for television.

It’s a hairy situation. I think I’m going to say that several times. One of the cool things with Medusa obviously is her hair and learning how to use it through the wig, but then also through the CGI. So there are moments where you are in fights or intense situations and you have to know how to use your face at the same time that you are using your hair, so there has been a lot of really amazing scenes where I have to sit down and go, “OK. If it was my arm, how would I do it if it was my arm? What would my face do?” And then have the duality between the two because it’s sort of another appendage for her.

Newsarama also has this poster from classic Inhumans artist, Jae Lee.

In related news, Isaac Hempstead-Wright spoke to TV Guide about becoming The Night King’s “arch enemy”, now that Bran’s the Three-Eyed Raven, and all that.

Now that Bran is the Three-Eyed Raven he is the arch enemy of the Night King. He is the sworn nemesis of probably the scariest person in Westeros. That’s really not a safe place for Bran to be, Westeros, at all right now. He should get out while he can and sit on a beach for a while. Wait for it to blow over. I’m as excited as everyone else to see how that’s going to play out.

THR also has quotes from virtually every member of the show’s cast hyping season seven’s accelerated pace. Here’s Gwendoline Christie’s, but head to the link for more hyping:

It really feels like we’re moving along at a lick, doesn’t it? It feels like there’s a lot of pace, because we only have 13 episodes left to tell this story. There are so many complex storylines that need to be resolved. We’re also so invested in the story. We want some kind of resolution, even if it’s an unsatisfying one. The worlds are starting to fold in on themselves.

The Walking Dead

Black Lightning

Finally, Entertainment Weekly — who seemingly can’t stop, won’t stop — also has the first image from the CW’s Black Lighting TV series, in which Jefferson Pierce begins suiting up in what kinda sorta looks like a redress of Barry Allen’s office at Central City PD.
