A surprising character is showing up in Justice League. A surprising character may show up in Wonder Woman 2. Yet another good guy joins Avengers: Infinity War‘s insane cast list. Plus, new images from Game of Thrones, and a pretty fantastic clip from this week’s Doctor Who! Spoilers for everybody!
Star Wars: The Last Jedi
Thanks to TheForce.net, we can now get a better look at Snoke’s Praetorian Guards on these cans of “Space Punch”. Yes, Space Punch, apparently some sort of tie-in sports drink for, uh, evil people?
That’s one of the Guards on the left, who we last heard may appear with Snoke on his flagship at the head of the First Order fleet, and possibly in a major fight scene with Kylo Ren, Rey and Luke on Ahch-to.
The figure on the far-right can is also a Praetorian Guard, but with a different helmet — maybe some sort of blast shield? — and a different weapon. Hmm.
Wonder Woman 2
Elena Anaya has revealed to The Verge that she’s contracted for one more DC movie, meaning Dr Poison could resurface at any moment.
What do you know about Dr Maru’s future? Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins are contracted for a second Wonder Woman movie. Are you?
Yes yes yes. But I have no answer for that. As you know, when these movies are made, they ask you basically to marry them for the rest of your life. [Laughs] I’d be so happy to be back, to be able to be evil again. It’s so good, it’s so fantastic.
Justice League
Kiersey Clemons has revealed to Modeliste Magazine that she has a brief cameo in Justice League as Iris West. Her “extravagant” scene with Barry Allen was filmed in London.
This November, I’m making a cameo in Justice League as Iris West and it’s the first time that you meet her before we get to see her in The Flash with Ezra Miller. It was my first time doing something so extravagant like that. We filmed in London and that’s one of my favourite places.
Avengers: Infinity War
Deadline reports that The Walking Dead‘s Danai Gurira will reprise her role as Okoye. So that’s another character we can safely assume survives the events of Black Panther.
New Mutants
A new casting call is searching for a young actress with a Russian accent to play what sounds like a nine-year-old version of Anna-Taylor Joy’s character, Magick. The casting call is also looking for an Asian woman in her late teens or early 20s, presumably to play either Karma or Armour.
SEEKING: [These are principal roles…]
YOUNG ANNA — Female, 9 — 12; preferably blonde, or willing to temporary colour; Russian accent or Russian language skills.
YOUNG FEMALE — 18 to 22 years old; Asian
Omega Underground also spotted a third casting call for an extremely tall, thin actor who is “good with movement”. We can only assume it’s for the role of the alien cyborg Warlock, and if this is the case, it’s pretty clear the character will be a motion-capture creation (and not stop-motion, like you always imagined. Sorry, everybody).
SKINNY MAN — Male, 20’s — 60’s; Caucasian, must be over 6’9″, extremely tall and skinny. We are looking for someone who is very good with movement. This is a featured principal role with no dialogue.
Shadowman
THR reports that Reginald Hudlin will direct the film adaptation of Shadowman, the comic book series from Valiant concerning the tribulations of an undead jazz musician who fights crime in New Orleans.
Mission: Impossible 6
A new set photo from Christopher McQuarrie confirms Michelle Monaghan is returning for the sequel as her character, Julia Meade.
Spider-Man: Homecoming
Tom Holland revealed to AlloCiné the less-than-shocking news that Marvel has plans for a Spider-Man trilogy.
There is still a lot of room for Peter Parker and Spider-Man, especially, to grow in the next two movies. He’s definitely not the finished article by the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming and I really look forward to exploring the different ways he can grow up and… go through puberty I guess. It’s going to be an exciting couple of movies.
When asked to clarify, Holland confirmed:
There will be a Spider-Man 2 and 3… Yeah, well now you know, sorry Marvel. Whoops!
Venom
Kevin Feige has confirmed the character rights to Venom still belong to Sony.
For now, there is no plan for Venom in the MCU. It’s a Sony Project.
Transformers: The Last Knight
Here’s your daily TV spot, featuring somebody doing their best Eric Idle impression as Wreck-Gar.
The Haunting of Hill House
THR reports that Michiel Huisman has been cast as Steven Crane, an author of books dealing in the paranormal, in Netflix’s 10-episode adaptation of Shirley Jackson’s classic novel.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
On the final season of the current TMNT series, the Turtles will battle Dracula and Frankenstein’s Monster, and presumably The Wolf Man, Gill Man and a Mummy over a four-episode arc. What do you want to bet some mutagen ooze enters the mix, and we’re given our first animated appearance of Monsterex?
Here are the synopses from all four episodes of the Universal Monster arc.
Episode 8: ‘The Curse of Savanti Romero’
When Renet (Mikey’s crush from the future) returns, the Turtles must help her stop Savanti Romero from unleashing an undead army on modern-day New York by travelling back in time.
Episode 9: ‘The Crypt of Dracula’
The turtles and Renet travel back in time to prevent Savanti Romero from creating his army of the undead by releasing Dracula from his tomb.
Episode 10: ‘The Frankenstein Experiment’
Savanti Romero succeeds in releasing Dracula, who later bites Raph and turns him into a vampiric turtle mutant. With April and Casey still in the present with Karai, fighting a horde of horror-type creatures, the three turtles and Renet turn to a young Dr. Victor Frankentstein & Igor for help.
Episode 11: ‘Monsters Among Us’
With Donnie and Igor helping Viktor with his experiment, and the rest of the team dealing with zombies and new vampires in New York, Leo leads Mikey and Renet on a dangerous hunt to break Raph free from Dracula’s thrall and cure him before they return home to their time, and the city gets overrun by an unholy epidemic!

Game of Thrones
Even more photos from season seven have been released, including this one of Sam weighing a human brain (look closely). Several more, here.
We also have this particularly revealing featurette on how the special effects were made for an upcoming naval battle.
Blood Drive
Bloody Disgusting has photos from the series premiere of Blood Drive, the latest Syfy original combining the post-apocalyptic vistas of Mad Max with the economic nightmare of Blood Car. More at the link.
Riverdale
Episode 2×03 is titled “The Watcher in the Woods”, according to producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who delights with a reference to James Bryan’s immortal classic.
#Riverdale fans, if you see Kevin Keller, please tell him…DON’T GO IN THE WOODS! #prayforkevin pic.twitter.com/ZQqwmPgnbR

Doctor Who
In some absolutely appalling news, incoming showrunner Chris Chibnall stated to the Royal Television Society that whole-season arcs telling one, single storyline are not out of the question.
Yes. What the BBC was after was risk and boldness.
Come what may, here’s an awesome clip from this week’s episode of Doctor Who, Rona Munro’s highly anticipated “The Eaters of Light”.
