Casting rumours swirl around X-Men: Dark Phoenix, a star has been found for the Bumblebee Transformers spinoff, and a good look at Donald Glover’s Lando Calrissian mustache. Plus, a Doctor Horrible reunion is coming to A Series of Unfortunate Events. Spoilers ahead!

Jeff Sneider of the Meet the Movie Press podcast also stated recently that Fox is looking to cast Angelina Jolie in a key role. Screen Rant speculates she’s in the running to play Lilandra, Empress of the Shi’ar Empire.
Aladdin
The Sun is reporting that Tom Hardy is currently in talks to play Jafar in Guy Ritchie’s movie adaptation.
Guy is a huge fan of Tom’s work and securing him would be a major coup. There have been conversations and, although nothing is set in stone and things are subject to change, he’s certainly one of Guy’s favoured choices. It just depends on schedules whether he’ll be able to sign up.
Bumblebee
Hailee Steinfeld has confirmed to News Australia that she is indeed staring in the Transformers spinoff.
I am so excited to know that is the next movie I am working on. Obviously I’m coming to Australia and when I come back, we start shooting.
Avengers 4
Speaking with the Telegraph, Chris Evans revealed he agreed to extend his six-picture contract for a fourth Avengers because “it made sense. It’s going to wrap everything up.”
I had six films in my Marvel contract, so I could have said after the third Avengers I was done, but they wanted to make the third and fourth Avengers films as a two-parter. They said they had so many other characters to fit in — Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Ant Man — and couldn’t get them all into one movie.
Mary Poppins Returns
Rob Marshall revealed to EW why Julie Andrews declined to cameo in the film.
Julie was incredibly gracious, and we talked about it in a very general way but she made it clear right up front. She said, ‘This is Emily’s show, and I really want it to be Emily’s show. I don’t want it to be, “Oh, here comes that Mary Poppins.” I don’t want that. I really want her to take this and run with it, because she will be brilliant.’
Star Wars: The Last Jedi
Star Wars News Net has an illustration of the film’s 2.75m-tall, seal-like monster native to the caves of Ahch-To.

Josh Brolin has revealed his new, source-accurate haircut for his role as Cable.
Han Solo

Tomb Raider
Tomb Raider has wrapped filming.
Mission: Impossible 6
More moustaches on parade! Director Christopher McQuarrie has shared a new photo of Henry Cavill’s new lip warmer.
Black Panther
Director Ryan Coogler revealed some details on Forest Whittaker’s character, Zuri, to Entertainment Weekly.
He’s somewhat a religious figure or spiritual figure. Spirituality is something that exists in Wakanda in the comics, and it’s something we wanted to have elements of in the film. Forest’s character, more than anything, is a major tie-back to T’Challa’s father. Zuri is someone he looks to for guidance.
Bride of Frankenstein
Speaking with THR, Dark Universal producer Alex Kurtzman is really excited Bill Condon is directing Bride of Frankenstein.
I think that variety is going to be our good friend when it comes to the evolution of Dark Universe. You obviously want to set a somewhat consistent tone, so that people know what to expect when you see these movies, but it would be ideal for each movie to have its own identity, which is largely going to be dependent on who is directing the films and who is starring in the films. I’m really excited to see what Bill Condon does with Bride of Frankenstein.
This is a guy who did Gods and Monsters, which is one of my favourite films ever. He uniquely understands James Whale and what those monsters represent and Frankenstein’s Bride. I want it to feel like a Bill Condon movie. As an audience member that’s what I would want, and I would apply that to all of our films.
Transformers: The Last Knight
See more delightful Photoshop follies in the latest poster.
In yet another new poster that’s nearly identical to the terrible one from a few days ago, the horns of Unicron appear to erupt from the foundation of Stonehenge.
There’s also a few seconds of new footage in these two TV spots from Korea.
Cars 3
The latest trailer is scored to “Take It to the Limit” by the Eagles.
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets
There are few new shots in this TV spot.

Here’s the third and final trailer for the new Studio Ponoc film, opening in Japan next month.
A Series of Unfortunate Events

Legends of Tomorrow
EW has confirmed Maisie Richardson-Sellers, who plays Vixen, will continue as a series regular in the show’s third season, despite getting shattered by Captain Cold in the season two finale.
Outlander
Ron Moore revealed to TV Guide that Claire and Jamie are going to be “kept apart for a while” in season three.
One of the things we wanted to do was talk about what Claire was doing in those 20 years as well. The way we’ve structured the season allows you to experience both [Jamie and Claire’s lives] at the same time.

Luke Cage
Lucy Liu has been spotted on set. Whether this means she’ll be appearing on the series itself is anyone’s guess.
Meanwhile, The Daily Mail snapped a number of photos of Luke Cage and Claire Temple kissing passionately on set.
iZombie
Things are pretty vague in the synopsis for the season finale of iZombie, “Looking for Mr Goodbrain, Part 2”.
Liv (Rose McIver) uncovers a shocking truth with far-reaching consequences. A reeling Major (Robert Buckley) looks to the future, and Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) gets closure. Meanwhile, Blaine (David Anders) makes a business proposal.
Doctor Who
The BBC has released a press release and a promotional photo from “World Enough and Time” — marking the return of the original Cybermen, and what sounds like a very bad day for poor Bill.
Friendship drives the Doctor into the rashest decision of his life. Trapped on a giant spaceship, caught in the event horizon of a black hole, he witnesses the death of someone he is pledged to protect. Is there any way he can redeem his mistake? Are events already out of control? For once, time is the Time Lord’s enemy.
And in case you missed it, here’s the trailer for this week’s episode, “The Eaters of Light” — writer Rona Munro’s first episode since the original 1989 series finale, “Survival”.
Voltron
Finally, Netflix has released a trailer for the third season of Voltron, featuring the voice of Kevin Conroy and some Toonami-inspired techno music.
