Video: I was totally ready to let the upcoming reboot of The Mummy pass me by. The trailers seemed to offer yet another instalment of “Tom Cruise Running From Things”. But this new look at the movie focuses on just why Princess Ahmanet wants to break stuff, and now I’m quite intrigued.

The new behind-the-scenes video shows filmmakers involved with The Mummy talking about the character’s past and how her look will change over the course of the movie. I liked Sofia Boutella in Atomic Blonde, where she was sort of a secondary character. Her central role here and the details of Ahmanet’s backstory might be enough to make me actually check out The Mummy when it hits theatres June 8.
