Moose Mobile Wants To Sell You Cheap Phones And Cheap Mobile Plans

While there are just four mobile phone network operators in Australia (you all know about Telstra, Optus and Vodafone, but Pivotel is there as well in remote areas), there are stacks of MVNOs who sell services on top of the networks built by the other operators.

Moose Mobile is one of those MVNOs. And it has just signed a five-year deal to resell Optus’ 4G services on top of their business selling refurbished handsets.

Moose Mobile is offering a bunch of different plans on the Optus 4G network, ranging from $15 per month for 1GB of data with unlimited talk and text, all the way to $49 per month for 25GB of data. All their plans are month-to-month so there’s no need to commit for months or years.

They also offer refurbished phones at what look to be competitive prices. For example, an iPhone 6 is going for $369 and they offer a guaranteed 25% buyback if you upgrade the handset within 12 months with them.

They don’t have any Android handsets listed at this time but I assume that will change. Moose Mobile’s focus will be on the youth segment with a combination of refurbished handsets and SIM offers. But at those prices, they look like a good deal for anyone who lives and works within Optus’ coverage area.
