Jurassic World 2
Jeff Goldblum spoke to Entertainment Weekly about reprising his role as Dr Ian Malcolm for what he amazingly describes as a “plate of dino-entertainment”:
Off I go in a few weeks to London, where they have been hard at work, and I’ll try to contribute something to the plate of dino-entertainment. I like my character. I think my character is a saucy, sassy man of some integrity and deep thinking. And of course, that whole world continues to be popular, slam-bang, top entertainment.”
Even though some might say it’s popcorn-y entertainment (top-notch, of course), in our conversation he was very focused on the serious issues of greed as it oftentimes comes up in those movies and the marvels of science and reason and the very fascinating point at which our species finds itself both in real life and in this imaginary world too. I’m very interested in that myself, so I’m looking forward to this.
Thor: Ragnarok
In the same interview, Goldblum discussed the improvisational elements he brought to the Grandmaster, as well as high Goldblum-based praise for director Taika Waititi.
When we first talked, [Waititi] said, “I want you to do your particular version of this character without being comic-y or grandiloquent. I think you should do something that’s in your creative family tree. And also improvise.” He was very interested in improvisation. We came to all those scenes and riffed enjoyably for the time we had. I don’t know what’s gonna come out in the mix because we gave him a whole bunch of different choices, I’ll tell you that. He’s great. Taika Waititi gets 10 Goldblums out of a possible 10 Goldblums.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
James Gunn told IGN he plans on bringing Ayesha back for the third Guardians movie:
I absolutely plan on bringing Elizabeth Debicki back. She’s actually one of my favourite actors I’ve ever worked with. I think on this movie between her, Pom Klementieff who plays Mantis, and Chris Sullivan who plays Taserface, they really were three of the best actors I’ve ever worked with and were all such a joy on this film to deal with that I would love to deal with them again.
Given Ayesha’s role in the creation of Adam Warlock in one of Vol. 2‘s post-credit scenes, and the fact we know Adam will play a large role in the third film, her return makes a lot of sense.
Gambit
Though the Gambit movie is still in development, its former director, Doug Liman, reveals why he left the project for Justice League Dark — namely, that he feels no personal connection to the character of Remy LeBeau.
I look for a personal connection to the movies I make and it may not be immediately obvious. You know, like what’s my connection to Jason Bourne? I have a deeply personal connection to that movie because it’s all about Iran-Contra and my father ran the investigations into Iran-Contra. In every story I have a personal connection. The Wall, you’d be like what could this filmmaker from New York possibly have in common with these two soldiers pinned down in Iraq? But The Wall is really about perseverance. It’s about picking yourself up and you just keep going and that’s something I have firsthand experience with. Not in war but in other aspects of life. With Gambit, I just never found that personal way in. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn’t.

The Defenders
Mike Colter told TV Guide the series will incorporate villains from each of the previous Netflix shows, which makes sense given that we know the Hand are going to play a major part in the series:
The villains that we’re dealing with are a combination of several entities, um, and they all have something to do with our separate stories that have played out in each of our own individual series. So this has been going on for a while. It wasn’t obvious in each individual series, but in this series you’ll find out that the things that happened to all of us basically were all because of one entity and that’s what’s gonna kind of tie things together and then we’ll see that, we’ll understand that, and before you know it, eventually we’ll fight together or not.

Although main star Jennifer Morrison will not return, both Robert Carlyle and Lana Parilla are nearing deals to return for season seven, according to a report from Deadline.

Orphan Black
Synopses for the first three episodes of Orphan Black’s final season have been released — here‘s the first one, “Few Who Dare”:
Sarah is deeply wounded and struggling to stay alive on the Island. Driven deep into its forest by Neolutionists and worse, she strives to make it far enough to rescue Cosima. Meanwhile, a recovering Cosima reunites with Delphine, but there’s way more going on this Island than Cosima imagined and Delphine can’t give her all the answers she needs. What is clear is that Rachel is now in firmly in charge at the right-hand of the 170-year-old founder of Neolution, PT Westmorland. Back home, Neolution puts the screws to Alison and Donnie in their hunt for Helena. The sestras couldn’t be further apart when they need most to be together.
Everyone has a hard time wrapping their heads around Neolution in the synopsis for the second episode, “Clutch is Greed”.
Captured by Neolution Sarah receives a damning ultimatum from Rachel: come into the fold, or lose your family. Her decision causes a clash with Kira who begins exploring her own maturity. Meanwhile, Ferdinand struggles to get a handle on Rachel’s new velvet glove mandate in pursuit of the clones. With Neolutionists and Ferdinand watching their every move, Felix brings an old ally into the mix to help his family get Kira to safety. On the Island, Cosima struggles to comprehend the reality of the Neolution myth made real.
Lastly, Bailey Downs is through with Alison in the synopsis for episode three, “Beneath Her Heart”.
Stuck on the sidelines with Neolutionists crawling all over her home, Alison seeks to return to her community center, but Bailey Downs has moved on from her. As she flounders to take back some semblance of control, the ghost of friendships’ past rears its handsome head. Art and his new partner show up at the Hendrix residence to continue their search for Helena, forcing Art to make a difficult moral judgement.
