How To Watch The 2017 Federal Budget (It’s Tonight By The Way)

Tonight’s the night: at 7:30PM (AEST), the Treasurer will hand down the 2017-18 Federal Budget in Australia’s parliament. Here’s how you can keep track of all the big ticket announcements as they’re released — including the ones that actually matter to you.

Online, the best place to keep up with the Budget as it happens is Twitter.

Here’s some of the things Twitter is doing as the Budget happens this evening:

  • @abcnews will stream ABC TV’s Budget coverage live from 7:30-9PM AEST
  • @HuffPostAU will have live interviews and reaction pieces from 8PM AEST.
  • And here’s the #Budget2017 hashtag.

On TV

You can watch the budget live on ABC on your TV – coverage starts at 5:30PM AEST on ABC’s main channel with The Drum, and the ABC News channel (24) will begin its broadcast from 6:30PM. It’ll also be simulcast live on iview.

On Gizmodo & Business Insider
