This is Billie Lourd, the daughter of the late Carrie Fisher. She appeared on both seasons of Scream Queens, and now she’s joining another one of Ryan Murphy’s shows: American Horror Story. The upcoming season seven takes place immediately following the 2016 US election. So, who might Lourd be playing?

Of course, we don’t know much about season seven, as is tradition, but Murphy has said that Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton (paging Sarah Paulson) would appear as characters, as part of the show’s “jumping-off point” on Election Night, explaining to The Hollywood Reporter back in February:
[It is about] what happened on that night and the fallout of that night, which to many people, from all sides of the camps is a horror story. [AHS] is always so fun when it’s about the zeitgeist and what we’re doing now.
So, if part of the story takes against the backdrop of the new administration’s transition to the White House, might not some other real-life figures need AHS versions too? Deadline, which broke the news of Lourd’s casting, noted that her role is as-yet unknown beyond the fact that it’s a lead opposite series regulars Paulson and Evan Peters. And while Murphy strives to be unpredictable when it comes to AHS, we have… a guess.

Ivanka Trump. Just crazy speculation at this point, but can’t you kinda see it?
Also, if this character factors into Murphy’s many hints that he’ll be tying an upcoming AHS season back into the Coven season, that would be delicious. So far, no word on when season seven will premiere.
