Video: While the CW’s Barry Allen might have been forbidden from mucking with the time stream (because he’s a big ol’ dork), the Barry Allen of Injustice 2 is more than happy to use his superspeed to beat you up in the past, present or future. And he looks pretty damn good while doing so.
NetherRealm’s upcoming DC comics beat-em-up Injustice 2 dropped a new character trailer focusing on the Flash’s moves in the game, but honestly, that isn’t really the draw here. Barry — who was a reluctant member of arsehole Superman’s dictatorial regime in the first game — pretty much punches and kicks the way he did in Injustice: Gods Among Us. Which is to say very, very quickly.
What you’re here for is Barry’s ultimate power move, which is so lengthy it takes up pretty much all of the back half the video. It’s incredible.
Barry pings his way from the fight to ancient Egypt and pre-history to smack his foes (in this case Grodd) about the head… but then he comes back to the present, seconds before he left, to hit them with their future selves. That’s fucked up in the best way, Barry. You do you.
