As part of a collaboration with design firm fuseproject, the Western Digital My Passport drives now come in six colors – Black, Yellow, Red, White, Orange and Blue – while still promising to provide reliable portable storage on-the-go.

The My Passport portable hard drives feature the new design with "textured bottom", password protection with 256-bit AES hardware encryption, automatic backup with included WD Backup software, up to 4TB capacity.

The My Passport for Mac drives are also formatted for Mac OS X and Time Machine ready for easy backup.

Both the My Passport and My Passport for Mac portable hard drives are protected by a 3-year limited warranty and are available at select retailers and distributors in Australia. My Passport drives have a Recommended Retail Price (RRP) starting at $109.99 AUD and the My Passport for Mac drive has a starting RRP of $119.99 AUD.

The My Book desktop hard drive has password protection with hardware encryption, automatic backup with included WD Backup software and up to 8TB capacity. With a 3-year limited warranty, it has an RRP of $249.99.

      yes you are correct. I used to use WD products but regular failures and better products with superior warranties eliminated WD form any purchases I now make.
      Who cares what it looks like , functionality and reliability fools.

    Disappointed... For a moment I though you could buy portable storage in the form of a 1:18 scale Bburago Signature Black LaFerrari.

    Makes sense really. Look at the phone covers and other things you can buy to dress up tech. I don't think they will be huge sellers but they will have their place.
