Video: In the not-too-distant future (next month, to be exact), the new Mystery Science Theatre 3000 reboot comes to Netflix, and the first epic trailer has arrived.

The Kickstarter-funded and now Netflix-supported series puts Jonah Ray, Hampton Yount and Baron Vaughn in the theatre seats so they can take part in Kinga Forrester’s (Felicia Day) and Son of TV’s Frank’s (Patton Oswalt) evil experiments. The trailer hints at some of the movies the new gang will be forced to sit through, including Reptilicus, which has long been a film requested by fans.
I’m simply loving the design and aesthetic for the reboot. It’s clearly staying true to the kitschy charm of the original series, while also putting its own spin on things. Jonah was dropped into the movie theatre via giant tube! Tom Servo was floating in front of those lady’s boobs! Also, BUBBLES!
MST3K arrives on Netflix April 14, and it can’t come soon enough.
