South Australia’s Premier Just Ripped The Federal Government A New One On Renewable Energy

“It’s a disgrace, the way in which your government has treated our state.” South Australia’s premier, Jay Weatherill, didn’t mince his words when he was standing face to face with the federal government’s minister for energy Josh Frydenberg on live TV during a press conference about the state’s energy policy.

This two-minute clip from a 20 minute long press conference in South Australia shows the best of it: after federal Energy Minister Josh Frydenberg had said his part on the launch of a “virtual power plant” in the state at an event between SA’s premier and treasurer Tim Koutsantonis, the state premier just laid into him — as a representative of the federal Liberal government led by Malcolm Turnbull — on the government’s anti-SA, anti-renewables stance.

Watch the video, and try not to look away. Weatherill’s verbal smackdown just. Doesn’t. Stop.
