Plus, a new Pacific Rim: Uprising picture, and yes, Logan will have a post-credits scene. Behold, Spoilers!

Godzilla: King of the Monsters

Kyle Chandler has just been cast as the father of Millie Bobby Brown’s character in the sequel. Let’s hope he can last a little bit longer than Bryan Cranston did in the first one. [Variety]

The Predator

Alfie Allen has joined the cast as an almost certainly doomed ex-Marine on the hunt for trophy-killing aliens in suburbia. [THR]

Captive State

Madeline Brewer has joined the cast as Rula, the “love interest” of Ashton Sander’s character in the future-set movie exploring a Chicago occupied by alien forces. [Deadline]

Van Helsing

Eric Heisserer (Arrival) and Passengers screenwriter Jon Spaights have left the Van Helsing movie. Dave Mazeau (Wrath of the Titans) has taken over scripting duties. [Coming Soon]

Game of Thrones

Watchers on the Wall has an intriguing new report about new filming taking place in Calgary, Canada. The location is typically where the show has shot footage of wolves, to be blown up digitally and later used for scenes involving Direwolves — but Maisie Williams has also been spotted in the local area, indicating she might be filming some scenes alongside the wolf footage.

This is where it gets interesting. Two wolves are currently apparently involved in the shoot, courtesy of Instinct Animals For Film. One, Quigley, has been used for Ghost’s scenes since 2015. The other, unnamed, is new to Game of Thrones. But with so many of the other Stark Direwolves sadly perished at this point, there’s only one feasible option to speculate about, especially if Williams is on hand filming: Nymeria, Arya’s beloved (yet fleeting) companion from season one, may be about to make a grand return to the show.

Castle Rock

Hulu has picked up the mysterious new Stephen King/J.J. Abrams collaboration for a 10-episode series. [TV Line]

Black Mirror

John Hillcoat (The Road) will direct an episode for season four, titled “Crocodile.” The episode is believed to feature “two female protagonists” and co-star Andrea Riseborough. [Tracking Board]

Stranger Things

David Harbour is optimistic (but fearful) about season two’s prospects for living up to everyone’s expectations:

We’re completely terrified. We want it to be even better than Season 1. I got the script for the first episode of Season 2 and within the first five minutes I was on my feet going like, ‘Yes! Yes!’” he said. If we do our jobs, I feel like we have a really exciting season ahead of us.

Legends of Tomorrow

According to the cast list for the season finale, “Aruba,” none other than legendary fantasy author J.R.R. Tolkien is set to appear in the episode. He’ll be played by Jack Turner.

Agents of SHIELD

According to Jed Whedon, Anton will not become M.O.D.O.K. following his grim transformation during the events of last night’s episode.

Well, no, we can’t really say what he is. He’s definitely his own creature, but we can’t comment really as to if he’s based on a Marvel character or not.

Grimm

Eve goes through the looking glass in the synopsis for episode 11 of the season, “Where the Wild Things Were.”

Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) goes on a mission to take on the mysterious force she saw in the mirror and finds herself in unfamiliar territory. When the gang discovers what she has done, Nick (David Giuntoli) finds a way to join her. Meanwhile, an uneasy alliance is established when Capt. Renard (Sasha Roiz) is brought in to help and discovers this all may be connected to the person he cares for the most, Diana (guest star Hannah R. Loyd).

Iron Fist
