Video: It’s classic horror set-up: Person who suffers trauma goes to a place that’s supposed to make them better. But once they get there, they find themselves face-to-face with the horrifying discovery of… James Franco’s goofy-arse moustache.
The Institute centres on Isabelle Porter — played by Allie Gallerani — a young woman who checks into the Rosewood Institute due to being overcome with grief after her parents’ deaths. Franco plays Dr Cairn, a doctor who employs sadistic, unorthodox methods to try to “cure” his patients. Directed by Franco and Pamela Romanowsky, this looks like it could be gothically cheesy and fun. An Australian release date has not yet been announced.
