How To Watch NASA’s Announcement Of A ‘Discovery Beyond Our Solar System’

NASA just announced a major press conference to reveal “new findings on planets that orbit stars other than our sun”, or “exoplanets”.

The event is scheduled to take place on 23 February, 5am AEDST and you can watch it yourself online, live, at NASA TV.

Present at the briefing will be Thomas Zurbuchen (associate administrator of the Science Mission Directorate at NASA Headquarters in Washington), Michael Gillon (astronomer at the University of Liege in Belgium), Sean Carey (manager of NASA’s Spitzer Science Center at Caltech/IPAC, Pasadena, California), Nikole Lewis (astronomer at the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore), Sara Seager (professor of planetary science and physics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge).

You can ask questions to be answered at the briefing by using the #askNASA hashtag on twitter.

A Reddit AMA about exoplanets will be held following the briefing at 7am AEST.
