Last year we heard that Fox had ditched Hellfire and begun development of a new X-Men TV show from Matt Nix. But even though Nix has been talking about his series for ages, it’s only just been given a pilot order.
Fox has officially confirmed that the still-untitled X-Men series has been given a pilot order by the network. The series will follow two parents as they go on the run with their mutant child to avoid government persecution, joining an underground network of mutants to fight back.
The actual surprising part of this news is that it’s only just being confirmed that the show is actually going forward — Nix has been plenty talkative discussing his plans and hopes for the show since it was first revealed last year. But at least now we know that FX’s Legion won’t be alone when it comes to bringing the world of the X-Men to the small screen.
