LG’s Upcoming Android Wear Smartwatch Will Cost $US249: Report

The smartwatch market might be in the dumps, but that hasn’t stopped Google pushing Android Wear, or LG from manufacturing compliant gadgets. Images of the latter company’s “Watch Style” line were recently leaked by VentureBeat’s Evan Blass and now, thanks to Android Police, we have some indication of pricing.

According to AP’s David Ruddock, citing a “trusted source”, we can expect the basic Watch Style to retail around $US249, or $329 Australian. Of course, it’ll definitely be more expensive than that here, but at least we have a ballpark figure to work with.

Going by the leaked photos from Blass LG’s offering has a more conventional look. Whether that will help sales is another question entirely… one some might not bother answering if it ends up costing $500 or more locally.
