Crossbow Recalled For Randomly Firing At People

Take a hard look at your crossbow collection, people. You could have a death machine sitting in there, ready to fire off at any moment.

The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (USCPSC) today announced a recall of the Carbon Express Blade, both black and camouflage models, because the weapon can fire unexpectedly when the safety is engaged. The defect poses a serious threat to bystanders and anyone using the product.

The weapon can be identified because it has the word “Blade” emblazoned on the sides — which is pretty hard to miss if you take a close look at rails on this thing. And if you’re wondering how serious the threat is, this crossbow weighs about 3kg, shoots 320fps, and has a 33cm power stroke — so yeah, it’s pretty fucking deadly.
