Another nail in Twitter’s coffin or perhaps the struggling social network finally figured out who she is?

Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff — a man who once flirted with the idea of purchasing the site — told Recode’s Kara Swisher (emphasis ours):
I think it’s a great company, I think it’s a great CEO. I think it has a huge vision and has a unique position in the world. As evidenced by this election, I think it’s more important than ever…
Without Twitter, I don’t think you would have President-elect Trump. I mean, that’s reality. He said it very well. He said, “I have a beautiful Twitter account.”
Twitter had a host of abuse scandals throughout the 2016 US election, so many that they might have been the reason nobody wanted to purchase the platform, which has 310 million active users.
While virtually every other tech company’s stock took a hit after Trump was named president-elect, Twitter’s shot up. Will Twitter become the official premiere social network for Trump Nation™? Or will it fall and burn like the rest of us?
