Logan director James Mangold continues to post interesting bits and bobs to his Twitter account. In addition to another black-and-white shot of Hugh Jackman as Old Man Logan — one that makes it even money that the next Logan trailer uses “Ring of Fire” instead of “Hurt” — there are also some lovely storyboards.

So here they are in their full glory:
It’s Logan seeing cops at a motel and unsheathing his claws. The latter which must cause a bit of pain, seeing as we know his healing factor is compromised in this movie. The point here isn’t that we learn a ton, it’s a) how strangely pretty the art is and b) the increasing sense that Logan is going to be a superhero movie that does something different and interesting. I would not have pegged the third standalone Wolverine movie for that.
Logan is due in theatres 2 March 2017.
