The PlayStation Network Is Still Down

Parts of the PlayStation Network — including games, apps and sign-in pages — currently aren’t working in Australia. The problem appears to be occurring in multiple territories and Sony is investigating the situation. Here’s what we know so far.

The PlayStation Network (PSN) was scheduled for routine maintenance earlier this afternoon. However, full service connectivity has failed to resume properly and Sony has yet to provide an explanation.

Services that are experiencing issues include Account Management, Account Management, the PlayStation Store and PlayStation Music. The problem also appears to be affecting PSN users in the US and UK. PlayStation Australia is is currently keeping mum on the issue but the official Ask PlayStation UK Twitter page had this to say:

Here’s the stock standard response on Sony’s Network Service Status page:

“Our engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience.”
