These Pizza Boxes Turn Into Working, Greasy DJ Decks

That sad, empty feeling when the last slice of pizza gets eaten might be a little easier to bare now that Pizza Hut in the UK will be packing its pies in special boxes that turn into a pair of playable DJ decks, complete with mixer, letting you follow up dinner with some jams.

The boxes, which will apparently only be available at select Pizza Hut UK locations for a limited time, feature hidden electronics, touch-sensitive conductive ink and Bluetooth so they can be paired with a smartphone, tablet or a computer. Functionality includes a cross-fader, pitch controls, volume buttons, cue and sync triggers, and the boxes are apparently even compatible with professional DJ apps like Serato’s software.

In a second video the UK’s DJ Vectra demonstrates how the box’s faux platters can also be scratched, although the experience of rubbing your fingers on greasy cardboard probably can’t quite compare to the real thing.
