See Supergirl‘s Man of Steel in action with new set footage. Kevin Feige explains why 3D is so important to Doctor Strange. Plus, new looks at Suicide Squad and The Mummy, Vampire Diaries casting and a creepy new look at The Exorcist. To me, my spoilers!
Spider-Man: Homecoming
Load your webshooters with salt capsules, because rumours are swirling that Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow will make an appearance in the film — presumably alongside Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. The source, however, is a single report from an Atlanta-based filming Twitter account, which claims that Johansson has been sighted near where the film is currently shooting:
Well, well… hi Scarlett. What’cha doing here?

So for now, treat this as some very loose speculation.
Squirrel Girl
Shannon Purser — perhaps best known currently as Barb from Stranger Things — has joined the speculative “would like to play Squirrel Girl” train, alongside Anna Kendrick and, presumably, John Barrowman.
So who do I talk to about being Squirrel Girl?

The Nutcracker
Morgan Freeman has been cast as Drosselmeyer, the mysterious godfather of main character Clara. [THR]
Doctor Strange
According to Kevin Feige, 3D is “necessary” to tell the Doctor Strange story:
There are sequences of the film that 3D is actually necessary to tell the dimensional story that is happening, through visuals. And we’re now finding ourselves in VFX reviews going, ‘OK we know this is perfect for 3D, this is built for 3D, but the stories gotta work in 2D so how do we adjust it so it still works in 2D?’ But the 3D is going to be amazing.
