Major Rumours About Rogue One and Suicide Squad, Denied

Supergirl‘s producers promise Cat Grant is still around in the second season. The Combaticons are coming to Transformers: The Last Knight. Plus the Lights Out sequel is a go, a new look at the Van Helsing TV show and who Grant Gustin wants to direct The Flash next. Spoilers now!

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Neither the young Han Solo nor Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker will appear in the film. Quote from Gareth Edwards:

I’m not sure if I’m allowed to do this, but I think I should…. Han Solo’s not in the movie.

Kathleen Kennedy also confirmed there will be no Hayden Christensen cameo:

No. That is not true. I can confirm that. He is not [in Rogue One].” Still, Vader will be in the film, and James Earl Jones is back to voice him.

Suicide Squad

And while we’re on denying things, here’s director David Ayer, on whether the Joker is secretly a former Robin, as many have long speculated:

It ain’t the case. He’s not.

Lights Out 2

A sequel to the small-budget horror sensation has already been confirmed.[Deadline]

The Nutcracker

Transformers: The Last Knight

Michael Bay has taken to twitter to reveal that Combaticon Onslaught is in the movie.

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children

Here’s a new behind-the-scenes featurette.

Cat Grant is still in the picture — just, as we feared, in a lesser capacity, according to producer Sarah Schecter:

You’ll definitely see Cat Grant but she was very affected by her interactions with Supergirl last year. Also Kara not being her assistant, you wouldn’t see her as much. It’s that weird thing when you get promoted and you see your old boss less. There is still Cat Grant. She is not going anywhere.

Chris McKenna has joined the cast:

Tristan May has joined the cast. She’ll play Riley Davis, a “highly unpredictable” hacker recruited to MacGyver’s new team instead of being sent to prison for cybercrimes. [THR]

The Flash

Asked who’d he like to step in as a guest director, Grant Gustin answered:

I met Joss Whedon last night. Yeah, that would be really cool. He was a really nice guy and he loves the show. He’s seen every episode of the show.

Van Helsing

Here’s a new promo for the show from Comic-Con:

Finally, the third episode of season five is titled “A Matter of Trust”.
