Hot-Wheels Turned An X-Wing Into The Car Of Your Dreams For Comic-Con

Video: Don’t bother asking where or how you can buy one, because this is clearly a one-off creation for this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, which is underway now. But Mattel and Hot Wheels have gone and created a full-size, drivable version of the X-Wing car that will be available as part of a limited edition set during the show.

It might actually be cooler than the Darth Vader car Hot Wheels built for last year’s Comic-Con, thanks to the blasters on top, jet engines on the side (there’s no word on whether or not this car can make the jump to hyperspace) and a working cockpit door that lowers onto the driver once they have climbed inside. If we can’t join the Rebellion in their fight against the Empire, this is without a doubt the next best thing.

And if you know more about cars than what your childhood Hot Wheels collection taught you, here’s a making of video showing how the rolling X-Wing came together.
