John Boyega will be kicking some kaiju arse on February 23, 2018. That’s when the untitled Pacific Rim sequel, directed byDaredevil‘s Steven S. DeKnight, will now hit theatres.
Guillermo del Toro will be executive producing the sequel to his 2013 film, which continues the futuristic story where humans drive massive robots called jaegers against an invading alien race. Actor Femi Oguns is also joining the cast.
The film was previously announced for 2017, but was moved off the schedule last year when del Toro left as director. Now, it’s back and the apocalypse once again begins in February 2018.
