According to Hollywood, time machines can come in any shape and size. And for the latest episode of Super-Fan Builds, two of the most unusual time machines -- the iconic DeLorean from Back to the Future and the hot tub from Hot Tub Time Machine -- were merged to create an even better way to relax and let the hours fly by.
AWE me's Super-Fan Builds, now in its third season, rewards zealous fans of movies and TV shows with a one-of-a-kind creation built by prop masters, special effects wizards, and folks who are probably better with a welding torch than the rest of us.
Past creations have included an Iron Man Hulkbuster high chair, a Tumbler Batmobile stroller, and a Game of Thrones Iron Throne toilet. But this DeLorean hot tub time machine, built by a company called Set Masters for a Back to the Future super-fan named Brandon, is one of the series' largest creations yet.
Built from both an actual hot tub and a real DeLorean chassis complete with functional gull wing doors, the car can be raised or lowered to create more headroom for taller party guests. And while some creative liberties were taken to make the hot tub safer (time circuits and water don't mix) it still includes a Mr. Fusion on the back, and the requisite flux capacitor... fluxing... inside.
