Windows 10 Is Now The Top Desktop Operating System In Australia And The US

Microsoft’s sneaky pop-up trick seems to have done the job, with the latest news that Windows 10 is now the number one desktop operating system in Australia, North Europe and North America — overtaking Windows 7 in all three regions for the first time.

The takeover was announced in a tweet from Microsoft Edge web platform engineer David Storey yesterday.

With the free update ending on 31 July, this number is only expected to rise — and Microsoft have an install target of 1 billion.

Have you upgraded? Will you never upgrade until Microsoft forces you by refusing to maintain Windows 7? Tell us in the comments below!
