There’s No Orientation And No Guidebook In The Latest Trailer For Westworld

HBO has released a new trailer for its beleaguered show Westworld, giving us our best look yet at the science fiction drama, along with a rough idea of when it will be released: October.

What we see in it has us really excited: we get a good look at the futuristic western theme park, where “you can be whoever you want.” There’s hookers, cowboys and gunfights to indulge every patron’s desires. It looks like a fun trip, until there’s some sort of glitch that throws everything into disarray. “These violent delights have violent ends,” one character ominously notes.

The show, written by Person of Interest‘s Jonathan Nolan, is based off of the 1973 Michael Crichton film by the same name, and it looks like it’s going to be exploring some really interesting territory when it comes to robotics and artificial intelligence.

Westworld will premiere on HBO in October.
