Video: Our first look at Disney’s next animated movie, Moana, is heavy on The Rock — as Dwayne Johnson introduces us to his South Pacific Demigod Maui in spectacular style… and the magic of dancing tattoos, apparently.
The trailer gives us our first look at Maui and titular hero Moana — balancing its time between an actual glimpse of the heroes in action and a gorgeously-animated 2D sequence done in the style of Maui’s plethora of body tattoos. But man, some of those shots in the second half look amazingly pretty. It’s certainly going to be a fabulous looking movie.
Moana hits theatres 26 December 2016.
