The Panama Papers, a 2.9 terabyte leak of files by an anonymous person to the International Consortium of Journalists, revealed how rich and powerful people use offshore shell companies setup up by Mossack Fonseca to avoid taxes.

A spokesperson from the Geneva prosecutors office told Reuters that it had opened an investigation in response to a complaint from Mossack Fonseca, but wouldn’t comment further.
