Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
Early on Saturday James Gunn posted a picture of himself wielding Thor’s hammer Mjolnir to social media, which naturally sparked plenty of speculation that the hero would appear in the film as a tie-in to the cosmically bound Thor: Ragnarok. Gunn hastily took to Facebook on Sunday in the wake of the speculation to confirm that the picture was just a joke — he was visiting the props department and spotted the hammer lying around.
No, Thor isn’t in Vol. 2. The props guy just happened to have it around and I decided to take a pic with it. Not sure if I’m able to lift it because I’m worthy or because I’m soulless like an elevator.
Thor: Ragnarok
Speaking of Thor, though, Chris Hemsworth recently teased the next movie during a panel at Wizard World Philadelphia:
Man, it is a lot of fun. I think tonally it’s a big shift in a great way, more than anything we’ve seen before. Taika Waititi, the director, if you know any of his work, yeah, he’s just an incredible sort of comedic talent, um, a lot of heart in everything he does,but you know there’s a, it’s a very different Thor, it’s a different Loki, we go off on another world that we haven’t experienced before. It’s fun you know, but that’s me skirting around the issue because I can’t say too much.
James Bond
At the same panel, Tom Hiddleston addressed the rumours that he’s in advanced talks to take on the role from Daniel Craig:
I’m sorry to disappoint you, everybody. I don’t think that announcement is coming. But I’m very gratified to hear the enthusiasm.
Stormfall
Sam Raimi may direct the movie, which he is currently developing at Warner Bros., which follows a young man and his mentor attempting to pull off a heist in the Carolinas during a tornado. Also, we now live in a world where there are competing storm heist movies.

Norman Reedus promises that the show’s seventh season premiere is worth the controversial wait, saying the cast take character deaths as poorly as the fans do:
I will definitely 100 per cent say that it’s well worth the wait. It’s large. It’s mind-blowing.
We’re a very tight-knit group down there [on location in Georgia], and we take it very personally, because we’re in it and living it. Every time you see us crying on camera, those are real tears. It’s a whole day of living that shit.

Paul McGann hopes he can reprise his role as the Eighth Doctor on TV again.
We’ve all got a shelf life. It’s not going to go on forever. I’m in the slightly unusual position, even from McCoy and Colin Baker in that, with the Eighth [Doctor], it feels like there’s still a bit of potential. It feels like it ain’t quite over… Often we’re subject to rumours, and rumours are only ever rumours. But because I came back to do the Doctor, it was all the proof these fans needed that there’s still life in this thing.
I’m not that different. It’s only 20 years since we made the pilot. And I’m younger than Capaldi, not by much, but I am. What am I doing?! I’m not trying to talk myself into a job!

Stephen Amell hypes up the network’s plans for a huge crossover between the DC TV shows, in the wake of Supergirl‘s addition to the roster:
I think what we’ll end up seeing is one giant four-night crossover. This is kind of an unprecedented moment in terms of the history of network television. To have four shows [with the] same showrunner.

TV Line reports the series is casting a new villain named Anton Church. Church is described as a “ruthless crime lord” who rises to prominence in the wake of Damien Darhk and HIVE’s downfall and an “apex predator” that targets the Green Arrow.
