Dell’s New 360-Degree Inspiron Laptops Are Really Colourful

Not content to stay out of the limelight at this year’s Computex trade show, Dell has shown off an entirely refreshed line-up of Inspiron laptops. 11-, 13-, 15- and 17-inch models all include 2-in-1 360-degree convertible hinges, and bright colours are definitely the trend that we’re seeing.

The new machines include the world’s first 2-in-1 17-inch laptop in the Inspiron 17 7000 Series, and there are 2-in-1s in every screen size from 11 inches upwards. In fact, in the new line-up, only the Inspiron 15 5000 Series and the Inspiron 7000 5000 series aren’t 2-in-1s.

Stepping up from the $599 11-inch, every premium 5000 Series 13-, 15- and 17-inch laptop includes a Windows Hello face recognition camera, as well as options for SSDs and Full HD or higher-resolution touch-sensitive displays. The latest Intel processors and DDR4 memory — up to 16GB — should make for plenty of everyday computing power. The top-of-the-line 7000 Series, also available in 13-, 15- and 17-inch sizes, include a USB Type-C port and will be bundled with a Type-C adapter that allows for HDMI, VGA and Ethernet wired connectivity.

While the non-2-in-1 5000 Series will be available later this year, all other new Dell Inspirons will be out on the company’s website from June 3. The 11-inch Inspiron 11 3000 Series 2-in-1 starts from $599, the Inspiron 13 5000 Series 2-in-1 starts from $999 and the Inspiron 13 and 15 7000 Series 2-in-1s start from $1699. [Dell]
