Adult Swim Uses Vine’s Extended-Play Feature To Debut Its New Cartoon

Adult Swim’s newest cartoon officially premieres on July 10, but you can catch a 10-minute episode of Brad Neely’s Harg Nallin Sclopio Peepio right now on an unlikely platform: Vine. It’s a clever collaboration to highlight both the show and Vine’s just-debuted feature that allows videos longer than six seconds.

As Variety points out, Adult Swim has used social media in similar ways before — sharing a Rick and Morty episode, chopped up into 15-second increments, on Instagram in 2014. Fortunately, the extended-play Vine format is a bit more viewer-friendly. And if you’re going to watch a TV episode on that platform, this raunchy, geeky and surreal animated sketch-comedy show is kind of a perfect fit.

Here’s the link if you want to check out Brad Neely’s Harg Nallin Sclopio Peepio, which is created by Brad Neely (duh) and produced by Titmouse. Be warned that like much Adult Swim content, it’s decidedly NSFW. That said, it packs an awful lot into 10 minutes — poop jokes, musical interludes, a horny dog, a talking turkey dinner, a swamp hag and dubiously-flavoured potato chips, with voices performed by Darrell Hammond, Ilana Glazer and Gabourey Sidibe.
